Precautionary Measures for the Novel Coronavirus by School of Swimology

Updated: Feb 10, 2020

School of Swimology (SoS) has been monitoring the coronavirus since the start of 2020. As of 31 Jan 2020, there is no evidence of community spread of the virus in Singapore as publish by Ministry of Health (MOH). Sport Singapore has also given a guideline to all coaches that it is still possible to continue coaching, as long as everyone is feeling well and nobody in the class have returned from China for the last 14 days.

Following the guidelines, SoS will be adopting the guideline and here is what we will be doing:

Anyone who have just came back from China for less than 14 days will not be allowed to join the class until the 14 days period is over.

For those who are not feeling well, it is advisable to refrain from swimming during this period.

SoS will bring forward the missed classes for those who miss their lessons if they just came back from China / are suspected of having the coronavirus.

All classes will be proceeding as usual until further notice.

If there is anyone in group class who wish to take a break during this period, it is unfortunate that lesson fee will still be charged.

If you are in a private class and wish to take a break during this period, please discuss with your Swimologist.

All Swimologists have been cleared. If they are not feeling well, replacement will be activated to cover their classes, until they get well.

Should the situation gets worse, swimming lessons will be cancelled and bad weather policy will be applied (Additional 15min for next 2 lessons for every lesson cancelled).

If there is any issue on coronavirus that is not answered, please let us know. We will get back to you on it. Contact us at askme@swimology.sg
